My Approach

I believe that meaningful healing begins in the context of a safe, authentic, and trusting relationship. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed, creating a space where clients feel deeply seen, heard, and understood.

Every person carries a unique story shaped by life experiences, relationships, strengths, and challenges. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I seek to understand the whole person. Together, we explore patterns, uncover the roots of present difficulties, and build practical strategies that foster lasting growth and resilience.

My work is informed by attachment theory, neuroscience, and evidence-based approaches that support therapeutic growth for those navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I tailor therapy to the unique needs of each client, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing.

Depending on your goals, therapy may include approaches such as integrating Christian Faith-Based practices, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and Neuroscience and Satir in the Sand Tray (NSST) Therapy. These approaches help clients increase self-awareness, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and move toward meaningful change.

The integration of Christian Faith-Based practices into the counselling process can be thoughtfully incorporated in a way that aligns with your beliefs and values while remaining respectful, client-centred, and clinically grounded. Whether faith is an important part of your journey or not, every client is welcomed with dignity, compassion, and unconditional respect.

With more than twenty-six years of experience working in education and leadership, I bring a deep understanding of the emotional, developmental, and relational challenges experienced by children, adolescents, adults, educators, and families. My experience allows me to appreciate the complexity of balancing life's responsibilities while navigating personal growth and healing.

My hope is that counselling becomes a place where you feel safe enough to explore your story honestly, discover new perspectives, and move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and hope.
